Today is another binary day 11-01-10 :-)

Dan, I love you dearly, but you are such a geek!

Rainbows and Dragons

Dan’s blog informed me that he is tired of the snow talk and wants one about rainbows and dragons…so here it is!

Rainbows are an arc of spectral colors, usually identified as red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet, that appears in the sky opposite the sun as a result of the refractive dispersion of sunlight in drops of rain or mist. It’s also the name of the youngest section of Girlguiding.

Dragons are generally thought to be fictional, fire breathing creatures. However the works of ‘Harry Potter’, showed dragons to be real….as are wizards…ahem.

Disclaimer - I have been snowed in alone for the past 2 days, It makes me really really bored!

This is for Dan

This is for Dan:
How vile is that????!!

Feeling a little bit Christmassy!

I love Christmas, I really do. What I do not like, however, is present buying. Not because I am tight, you understand, just because buying presents from 25 different members of my family can be slightly stressful.

I do love having a big family though…

Time for the obsession to stop?

I need to stop posting about Kit Kats…I had an orange one yesterday.
Me - Dan, what is your take on the new kit kat caramel, worth a try?

Dan - Bad. The sodomy of a classic nestle. A sad day for the chocolate world.

Both of us REALLY like Kit Kats….

It’s true.

First week of work, I slowly introduced myself to different groups of staff. One of the group discussions went like this:

Me - Hi! I’m Dan. I’m the new IT guy. […skipping boring formalities…]

Person A - So how do we report problems to you?

Me - I understand procedure has always been that you write problems in the black “Problems” book. I’d like that to continue, and I’ll decide the priority.

Person B - Ok, but is there any way we can influence your decision? What about if it effects something I’m doing right there and then, and it’s urgent?

Me - Nothing you can say will influence how I prioritise work because there’s a bigger picture and I have a lot of people to try and keep happy. However, bringing me a Kit Kat Chunky - that’s a great way to get my attention.

How did I forget about Kit Kat Chunkys! Also it makes me very very happy to be reblogged, it’s never happened before!

Kit Kat Obsession...

Me - Dan, what is your take on the new kit kat caramel, worth a try?

When I left university in 2007 I honestly had no intention of ever doing another exam. And yet now I am training to a be a lawyer, a career that means doing about a hundred before I’m even qualified.

But anyway, the point of this post was to let you all (mostly Dan) know that once exams are done and I am free I’m going to really try to get into this blogging malarkey, and stop protesting that books and literature are where it’s at, because even I know that’s not true anymore, as I seem to be the only one who’s into them.

That doesn’t mean I’ll stop judging people who use poor grammar though….

"It is the trade of lawyers to question everything"

“It is the trade of lawyers to question everything”

- Thomas Jefferson

"Life is so ugly and messy and rushed, but in a beautiful pair of shoes you forget all your problems"

“Life is so ugly and messy and rushed, but in a beautiful pair of shoes you forget all your problems”

- Someone wise, clearly!

These are the most beautiful shoes in the world.

These are the most beautiful shoes in the world.

"This is the geek equivalent of sending flowers"

“This is the geek equivalent of sending flowers”

- my AWESOME friend Dan on why he bought me a website :)
